The “Name”
JESUS
In the last days we are going to hear many doctrines of demons..., and one of them is that Jesus is the false name of the Messiah.
Paul reminded Timothy about these perilous times,
Paul reminded Timothy about these perilous times,
1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
We the church, the body of Christ, must stay in continual prayer and study of God’s word. These false doctrines are infiltrating the organized church like a million man army.
I recently ran across a video on YouTube concerning one these doctrines of demons saying that the "name Jesus is the false name of the Messiah". Now let me first say I understand that Jesus is a transliteration of the Greek Iesous, and the Greek Iesous is a transliteration of the Hebrew Yeshsua/Joshua, I also understand that the letter J is not in the Hebrew alphabet, his Hebrew name Is Yeshua. God allowed his name to be transliterated into many languages because we all do not speak Hebrew or Greek. Also, when dealing with transliterations, we are dealing with literacy, meaning the ability to read and write; for example, the name George in Spanish is spelled Jorge and pronounced Hor-Hey, if I use the Spanish alphabet to spell an English/American name this will not change the meaning of the name, therefore the name Jesus does not change the meaning of his Hebrew name Yeshua, we just use a different alphabet system to spell his name in our English language.
Transliteration : Write or print (a letter or word) using the closest corresponding letters of a different alphabet or language
Let’s go back for a minute to the towel of Babel, the bible says,
Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
Gen 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
Gen 11:8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
Way back then God knew his name would be pronounced and spelled in many different languages for he is the author and giver of mans’ speech.
Everyone does not speak Hebrew or Greek, God allowed his very word (the bible) to be translated and transliterated into many languages.
In this video I saw regarding the name of Jesus, it was mentioned that when we Christians call on the name Jesus we are really calling on the Roman God Zeus, Really ?
Lets take a look at how the Greeks spelled Zeus

Now let’s look at how the Greeks spelled the Messiah name using their alphabet system, (remember the Greeks did not have the same letter or alphabet systems as did the Hebrews, so they transliterated, meaning they transferred characters from on alphabet to another,

These two Greek names are totally different, the name Jesus has absolutely nothing to do with the Greek god Zeus.
Our lord and Savior's name was even transliterated on the cross, in the Gospel of John we read
how Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
John19: 20 Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
21 Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.”’”
22 Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”

The name Jesus means God saves or God is our salvation. God displayed his character or his “Name” through the life of the Messiah. So whether you say Yeshua or Yahshua (Hebrew), or Isa (Arbraic), Iesous (Greek), Jesus (English) we are calling on the one and only name for salvation.
