New Years Resolution: Be Thankful Every Day

Did you thank God this morning for waking you up ? did you thank him for the activities of your limbs ?, did you thank him for food to eat and a place to lay your head at night ?

Sometimes we can get so caught up in all the wrong things in life that we forget to say THANK YOU.
You may not have the car that you want, but the one you have is a blessing to you for right now, you may not live in the house that you desire but the one you have is a blessing to you right now, you may not like the job you have but it has been a blessing to you for right now.

God loves a thankful heart. When Jesus was in Jerusalem he saw 10 lepers who asked to be healed and he healed them, but only one of them returned to thank Jesus,

Luke 17:11
Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy[b] met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

Our Thankfulness also shows are faith in God for we know that it is he who provides are needs. I want to specify the word NEED because we may not get what we want when we want it, but Paul said, ..."But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that."  Tim 6:8. Contentment and Thankfulness is having great gain because money and material things will vanish, and Jesus said in Luke 12:15 , “Take heed and beware of covetousness,[a] for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
Our life is not about the cars and houses we have, but about us receiving the FREE gift of eternal life, and loving The Most High with all our hearts, minds and soul, obeying his commandments, and loving one another.

So as 2011 closes out, I truly Thank God for providing food, clothing and our beautiful home, I thank him for my Mommy who I adore, I thank him for the joys of my life my nice and nephew, I thank him for my sister, and my family in Philly who I pray for everyday, I thank him for keeping us from harm and danger, I thank him for wisdom and knowledge and learning his word everyday, I thank him for teaching me to not depend on myself or my abilities but to always trust and depend on him, I thank him for saving me from my sins, I thank him for sending his son to suffer the most unimaginable pain so that I may live eternally.
And only Gods knows what's ahead for 2012, but I want to encourage every including myself to Thank God everyday no matter what we are going through, even if you are crying, if you are angry, if you are depressed, if you are confused, perplexed and don't understand.
This may seem like a hard thing to do but press through your emotions left up your voice unto the heavenly father and say THANK YOU, for he will never leave you nor forsake you, AMEN.

Happy Birthday to my Best Friend, and My Hero, My Mommy =)

I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me.  They have clung to me all my life.  ~Abraham Lincoln

Words can not express how much I thank God for my Mom. She is my hero, my doctor, my lawyer, my therapist, my best friend, and she is the one who keeps me sane in such a crazy world. If the bible was still being written and composed I truly believe there would be a book called Evelyn. Her honesty and straight forwardness/boldness is something I admire. I believe her prayers reach the heart of God. Her love for God is something to be praised, ...even in her suffering she speaks on the Goodness of Jesus. Is she a perfect person, nope, but she is 100% a perfect Mom and I don't know where my life would be without her. She has sacrificed so much so that others could have, and I don't know why God favored me by placing me in her womb, but I am Thankful. Happy Birthday Mommy, Your Best Is Yet To Come.

Proverbs 31
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; ....
29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Stop and Smell the Roses

I'm sure many of you have heard the saying, "Stop And Smell The Roses", it's an old clinch encouraging people to take time out of their busy day to look at the beauty of nature around them. Well I say have you ever stopped and looked around at God's awesome creation? From the butterfly to the lady bug, from brilliant Red Cardinal to the Deer in my back yard that keep eating my flowers (LOL), from the mountains to the coloring of the trees in the autumn, God's earth is awesome !!! When I'm feeling down I look up at the trees in my backyard, and the flowers in my gardern, the fruits and vegetables and I think "Wow God made all of this for our enjoyment", he truly loves us.
He knew that an apple would not only be good to our taste buds but it would make us feel good, he made honey sweetness just right , he gave us water to clean and hydrate our bodies, plants help us breath better and the cool Autumn weather is a blessing after hot summer days, the sun is at a perfect distant, and the moon lights the night just right, the rain comes and goes leaving a feritle ground, and the wind blows the seeds of harvest. Color, taste, smell, vision, hearing, feeling are a gift, and God gave us Dominion over the works of his hands, it's like someone building a beautiful castle, taking their time putting in the best flooring and lighting, state of the art appliances, in and out door kitchen, a lifetime supply of food, and then saying "okay you can have it for free, just take care of it and I will always be there to help you", ...that's love. That's what apostle John meant when he said "GOD IS LOVE".
So the next time you're feeling overwhemled by life's problems, take time to stop and look at God's creation, thank him for it and you will feel a whole lot better =)

PSALMS 73

Psalms 73 is one of my absolute favorite chapters in the bible. I remember reading this for the first time when I was about 16 years old and it spoke to my heart in so many ways and it still does today.
In my ignorance I was angry at the lord because I did not understand how evil people were prosperous while Godly people suffered. My Mom lead me to read psalms 73 and I truly thank her for that.
The temporary prosperity of the wicked Can Not be compared with the eternal  joy the sons and daughters of God will experience. God's wrath will come upon the wicked both great and small becasue they trust in the things they have, they trust in their education, they trust in there bank accounts, their looks, their reputation etc... and not the creator of heaven and earth.
We as God's children must trust in NOTHING and No ONE but GOD !!!!!!!!!!
Yes we will suffer for scriptures says, those who live in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution 2 Timothy 3:12
But great is our reward if we faint not, Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
I thank God for his word for it is a comfort and light during this perilous times, I am still learning that my life is not my own but I belong to God, and to not focus on or be influence by what the world around me is doing, but to do the will of my father.

Psalm 73

1Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
5They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
6Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
7Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
9They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
11And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
12Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
13Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
14For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
 16When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
17Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
18Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
19How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
20As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
21Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
22So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
23Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
24Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
26My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
27For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
28But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

911 WAS AN INSIDE JOB

Today I pray for the families who lost loved ones on this horrible day, Today I pray that The Most High will comfort their hearts, and I always pray that vengeance comes on the ones who piloted, planned and orchestrated 9/11.

I believe with all of my heart that 9/11 was an inside job. You can call it a conspiracy theory, a myth or a urban legend, I don't care, the evidence, the behavior and the lies of those US government officals involved in this scheme has proven that they are hiding the truth from the families, victims and the public, God is coming back angry with his wrath at full strength. WOE UNTO AMERICA !!!!!!!!!!

Casey Anthony Not Guilty ? HOW? WHY?

The American justice system has been shot to hell, how could 12 jurors unanimously agree that Casey is not guilty with all the evidence and facts that were presented to them.  ( This feels like the movie "Devils Advocate")
I am angry, confused upset and disgusted, but God knows everything that happened and he will avenge little Caylee of her death, No justice was served today, "America America The Great Has Fallen."

What to the Slave is the Fourth of July? By Frederick Douglass

What, to the American slave, is your 4th of July? I answer: a day that reveals to him, morethan all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim. To him, your celebration is a sham; your boasted liberty, an unholy license; your national greatness, swelling vanity; your sounds of rejoicing are empty and heartless; your denunciations of tyrants, brass fronted impudence; your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery; your prayers and hymns, your sermons and  thanksgivings, with all your religious parade, and solemnity, are, to him, mere bombast, fraud, deception, impiety, and hypocrisy - a thin veil to cover up crimes which would disgrace a nation of savages. There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices, more shocking and bloody, than are the people of these United States, at this very hour.
Go where you may, search where you will, roam through all the monarchies and despotisms of the old world, travel through South America, search out every abuse, and when you have found the last, lay your facts by the side of the everyday practices of this nation, and you will say with me, that, for revolting barbarity and shameless hypocrisy, America reigns without a rival."

Frederick Douglass
July 1852

A Great Speech by Frederick Douglass.
July 4th is a celebration and signing of the Declaration of Independence for the Colonist, not the slave because we were still considered property. I thank God for abolishing slavery through the help of wonderful abolitionist and ex slaves, as well as all those who fought and lost their lives in the civil war, and today I don't celebrate the signing of a hypocritical document of Independence, but today I think of the sacrifice of such great men and women (both black and white) who dedicated thier lives to end the peculiar institution of slavery so that all men could be truly free !

I really enjoyed reading this speech by brother Douglass, he was a great orator, and he spoke with boldness and conviction !!!

God's Promise - Paul Washer

Great Video !

Rest In Jesus

Jesus Christ loves you and suffered for you, living this world you will feel tired and weary, please be comforted by these words.......
Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

There is no real rest in this world system, Only in Christ Jesus, Satan is our enemy, so please don’t be deceived by the prosperity gospel and the wealth of the wicked, true blessings comes from the hand of God, Contentment with what we have comes from a thankful heart. Hoping in Christ for better is the beautiful virtue of patience, and waiting on God builds our true character. This world will soon fade away, why spend your short temporary life trying to get rich when you know you will die one day, strive to be rich in Christ so you can live eternally. In all of your getting get wisdom and understanding . God sees everything and he knows mans' heart, you shouldn't feel like you have to be perfect and then God will love you, no, he loves you right now, scriptures says, while we were still sinners Christ died for us, it doesn’t say when we stopped sinning then Christ died. We were born in the sinful flesh, let God prune you of this flesh so that you can be born again by the spirit. Will you still have struggles??, Yes, but God is greater than our struggles, and when you are weak he is strong. The bottom line to what I am saying is Repent, and let God into your life, let him fix you, stop trying to get salvation your way, and rest in him, for there is no true rest in the things of this world.  Satan's time is short and he is deceiving millions by the seconds, Jesus Christ is our only hope, Trust him and he will not let you down.

Jesus prayed a beautiful  prayer  to the Heavenly father on our behalf, Please Read.

Joh 17:1  These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
Joh 17:2  As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
Joh 17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Joh 17:4  I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
Joh 17:5  And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Joh 17:6  I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
Joh 17:7  Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
Joh 17:8  For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
Joh 17:9  I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
Joh 17:10  And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Joh 17:11  And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Joh 17:12  While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Joh 17:13  And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
Joh 17:14  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Joh 17:15  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
Joh 17:16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Joh 17:17  Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Joh 17:18  As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
Joh 17:19  And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Joh 17:20  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
Joh 17:21  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Joh 17:22  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Joh 17:23  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Joh 17:24  Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Joh 17:25  O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
Joh 17:26  And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
